Ping Domain or IP Address

Ping is a utility that checks whether a network host is reachable and measures the round-trip time of a request to it. The tool sends ICMP packets (echo requests) to the specified IP address or domain and waits for a response. If the server responds to the ping, you see the latency in milliseconds. The lower it is, the faster data is exchanged between you and the remote host. If there's no response, this may mean the host is unreachable, overloaded, or that ICMP requests are being blocked at the network or firewall level.

The tool sends a series of four requests in a row and shows not only the result of each attempt but also summary statistics: the number of successful and failed responses, the average, minimum, and maximum latency, and the IP address (if the request was made to a domain name). This is useful for assessing connection stability: a wide gap between the minimum and maximum values can indicate routing issues or network congestion, not just the raw connection speed.

Ping is often used for diagnosing network problems: checking whether a website or server is reachable, evaluating connection quality before starting a game or video call, or making sure DNS and routing settings are working correctly. For registered users, ping results can be saved to history so you can revisit them later or compare measurements over time.
